Planting and Thriving

You thrive because you are planted

You are not planted by the troubles

You are not planted by the trials

You are planted them that lives in Zion

You are planted by the Divine that loves more than lovers

You have been planted the Kings and Queens that love your essence, your being

and that's why you thrive in all of your glory.

It is great to be planted by the one that plants the seeds in your heart

The river that flows, the power of the triumph, the sound of the music

The one that plants your soul desires has planted you

So why do you think you won't thrive?

Why do you think you have less?

Why do you think you are alone?

When you are called by the Divine?

When the Divine is right next to you,

Right beside you

Right inside of you

Of course my dearest you will thrive forever

Mindfulness Affirmation for Unblocking Root Chakra

We are all energy, everything around us, about us is energy in motion. The words we are told are life and so are the words we tell ourselves. Affirmation is the practice of carefully crafted positive words that are spoken to rewire our brains and realign our lives with our highest purpose. This month we are intentionally living a mindful life by speaking life forming words that will help us realign our energetic body and bring results to the physical realm.

Kastellaun Travel Diary

Kastellaun travel diary

There is something about moving to a new city and start a full-time and a part-time job right away. I love London and all the amazing opportunities it gave me and I absolutely love my jobs and this new phase of my life but I still feel stretched and sad that I love this city so much but I can't enjoy it as much as I would like.

I got two jobs prior to my moving to London, I started the first one the next day I got to London and it's been an amazing one since then.
All that aside I am pretty having a great time and wanted to share the images of my time in Frankfurt and Kastellaun Germany. I was there for two weeks in November facilitating a wellness session in training for ''Social Inclusion and Volunteerism''. I can't believe we are already in the last month of 2016 already but I am eager to say bye to this crazy year.

On Beauty by Zadie Smith

This post is supposed to be about the awesome humorous and amazing Zadie Smith and her book ''On Beauty''. Since there is so much to say about her and I would rather you all go read everything she has ever or will ever write. I wrote my own essay that is inspired from her person and words that I have managed to soak into my brain so far.

Do you think we all have a singular tongue or multiple identity/tongue? This issue of single or multiple identities has been on my mind since my move to London last week.

London is a melting pot of art, culture, ethnicities, people and basically everything and anything.

Being a multilingual and multicultural individual, I would like to believe London is ''the place'' for me to be and also managed to keep my individuality but I have observed that I tend to ''adopt'' a very British attitude and accent that was foreign to me a week ago.

Zadie Smith's book ''On Beauty''

Explores those complex human emotions of belongingness, adaptability, love, lust, trust, infidelity, individuality, death, self-worth, self-disgust and so much more.
She is one of those writers that challenge the status quo and encourage their reader to question everything about who they are and what they aspire to be. If you have ever question your individuality in a society that constantly tries to fit us into certain boxes, I would suggest you read everything this unconventional British writer has ever written so far.
I am excited for her new book coming later this month but my favourite so far is ''Changing my mind'' a compilation of her various essays on reading, listening, seeing and being.
Have you read ''On beauty'' or any of Zadie Smith's book?

Book Review: On Becoming by Toke Makinwa Video

We live in a world of finger point, victim blaming, slut shaming, fat shaming, slim shaming, and you name we just keep bringing each other down and tear others apart as if that will add to our own lives.
I get very angry and my heart breaks every time I see women fight lost battles with their lives in marriages that were doom from the very beginning.
I did a review video on the new Toke Makinwa book and my dear blogger friend Desola did one of the most honest reviews posts on her blog.
It is very easy to judge others struggle and forget that we all go through life, fighting some battles but we should also remember to pick our own battles
